Check Out What Mario Kart Would Look Like In Virtual Reality

Mario Kart Arcade GP VR is the latest arcade version of the series to be developed by Bandai Namco - and the first designed for a virtual reality headset. Yes, that's right, Mario Kart is going full virtual reality. And it looks much more intense.

In the video, you can see some noticeable changes to the Mario Kart formula.

If that sounds exciting, I agree. Now a new trailer of the game has been released which gives us a better idea of what to expect. The company is opening the arcade hall this Friday and features several VR titles that can only be played at the venue. Whether it be long Monster Hunter nights or brief Splatoon sessions, many in our forums community have been gathering to play games together for years. As you zoom past competitors, or watch them zoom past you, you can lock eyes with them and watch their character's facial expression react to their new placing in the race.

Who knows, though? Considering that this uses HTC VIVE hardware, perhaps we'll see Nintendo to one day use that as a platform to expand into VR on a larger scale?

However Nintendo Everything is saying that these arcades are also expected to find their way to London, but beyond that we're not sure if there are plans to bring it to other parts of the world, although we suppose it would be really cool if they did.
